CITYFÖRSTER Architecture + Urbanism works with a driven team of experts from a variety of spatial disciplines on our mission of ‘creating better places’. We do this through design, research and consultancy on a variety of spatial topics and in all corners of the world. From Carbon-Based Design research to designing mixed-use buildings, our work emphasizes design excellence and purpose-driven solutions. Operating in countries like The Netherlands, Germany, Albania, Tajikistan and Zimbabwe, our clients range from developers to governments and multilateral organizations such as the UN and the World Bank.
As our Rotterdam team expands, we are looking for an experienced PR and Communication professional who can help us communicate our mission and results to clients, stakeholders, and the public.
PR & Communication Coordinator
32 to 40 hours per week
You will create overall branding and editorial for reports and publications, manage our social media channels, and create written and visual content for press releases, newsletters, and website updates, amongst others. Furthermore, you assist with graphic design, lead event participation, and seek press opportunities to promote our projects.
Also internally you foster and facilitate the exchange of ideas and knowledge and strengthen the identity and core values of the company.
We are looking for someone with affinity for the spatial domain (urban planning, architecture, landscape, political thinking) who possesses a high level of strategic and conceptual thinking. Someone who is able to observe and listen, digest input from diverging projects, and who serves as a sounding board for the leadership level to strategize and communicate content and directions. Furthermore, the preferred candidate has a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree related to marketing, communication, and/or public relations and a minimum of 2 years experience in a similar field of work. Excellent command of Adobe Suite programs such as Photoshop and InDesign is expected. You should also be fluent in English and preferably have a good command of Dutch and/or German.

Our Rotterdam office consists of a close-knit international team with 14 people, located in M4H’s Keilepand in Rotterdam, surrounded by other creative companies. Our sister offices in Hanover and Tirana, with a total of 45 people, offer a broad pool of knowledge, collaboration and team-spirit. The salary is based on the collective agreement for staff employed in architecture (Architecten cao) and we offer excellent secondary employment conditions.
