Designer / Creative Technology Intern
32 to 40 hours per week
We are searching for an ambitious and skilled student to join our team as an intern. Tellart is a small but dynamic design firm that specialises in creating immersive experiences with a strong emphasis on storytelling. As an intern, you will have the opportunity to learn from our approach to design and production, and work on a diverse range of projects from concept to completion. During your time at Tellart, you will be assigned a mentor who will provide guidance, mentorship and support as you develop your skills and work on your assigned project.
Responsibilities:
- Work with the team to develop concepts and prototypes;
- Support the team to develop production assets and documentation;
- Design research for current projects and report findings to team;
- Be critical of your own work and open to feedback, as well as provide feedback to the work of others.
Requirements:
- Visual communications: storyboards, mood boards, etc.
- Strong interest in design, storytelling, immersive experiences, interactive design;
- Must be willing to learn new skills and techniques;
- Must be able to work independently and in a team;
- Communicate your ideas effectively through presentation, prototypes, and documentation.
Skills:
- Different roles require different skills. While knowledge of the tools we use is always a plus, we care more about the ability to learn and have a pragmatic, solutions based approach.
- Some of the tool we currently use:
- Visualizing (Sketching, Adobe Creative Suite, Figma etc.);
- World building (Blender, Rhino, Sketch up, Unreal Engine 5);
- Rapid prototyping (Arduino, 3D printing, Processing, Touchdesigner, Javascript).
University Enrollment Requirement
As a condition of this internship offer, you must be currently enrolled as a student in an accredited university or educational program relevant to the internship position. This enrollment is necessary to comply with Dutch regulations for internships and to ensure the experience aligns with your academic studies.
*Candidate must be based in the Netherlands or can organise their own housing as finding student housing is very difficult and expensive in Amsterdam (shared housing: €700-€900 flat: €1500-€2000 per month)
