Sculpture Network is a European non-profit organization for the support and promotion of three-dimensional art. We value the contribution of sculpture to society: sculpture, light art, installations, land art and neighbouring forms of three-dimensional expression. For 19 years, we have been facilitating the networking of different groups in this flourishing scene, from art lovers to artists, collectors, curators and students to museums, galleries, as well as service providers. They all meet virtually on our platform, or personally at our events.

At Sculpture Network we have a clear ambition to bring value to our members, we foster teamwork and we set high standards for professional behaviour.

For the Executive Board of Sculpture Network we are looking for a

Executive board
The Executive Board is responsible for the organisation of the association, its finance, its staff and its events.

After resurrection in March 2021 and a subsequent consolidation period, we are now ready to bring Sculpture Network to a next level and we are seeking a successor of the current chairperson of the executive board, who will step down ultimately 1 September.

Your profile

  • Interest in the arts including 3D.
  • A heart for people and management skills.
  • Balanced, overview, decisive.
  • Charismatic and communicative.
  • Able to connect with artists as well as businesspeople.
  • Excellent English speaker, writer.
  • Experience in leading people at a distance.
  • Business acumen.
  • Available for one day a week.

Plusses are

  • Basic German language ability.
  • Some knowledge of ICT.
  • Knowledge of the arts and culture market.


  • Representing the association on a professional and social level.
  • Broad strategic as well as operational direction of the association.
  • Set pace and create focus.
  • Continuous development of the organisation.
  • Chair meetings of Executive Board.
  • Connect the different segments of the organisation: members, freelancers, volunteers, country coordinators, office, executive board, curatorial board.
  • Lead the Munich based office managers in good working atmosphere.

Your working base is mostly from home with international colleagues in various countries.

We occassionally meet in person on location. Our office (two people, 1 fte) is based in Munich. We invite all nationalities to respond, with a preference for European citizens. We have a gender neutral and inclusive hiring policy.
