At Mediamatic we are always looking for new developments in society. We are interested in how art, design and science merge and how we can use this to experiment with new (living) materials and challenge societal norms. The processes involved are all based on sustainable principles, as we are happy to contribute to a circular economy.

Summer intern Programme & Workshops

30 to 38 hours per week

We are looking for an Intern who can help with the production and programming of our projects, events and workshops. For the position you must be responsible, practical and curious about the topics we explore at Mediamatic.

During your internship, you will learn the many aspects needed for a project to come to life through being a part of the production of projects taking place at Mediamatic.

What you will do at Mediamatic

  • Organise public programs with the Mediamatic team in collaboration with artists and scientists.
  • Help with the production of workshops and events.
  • Facilitate collaborations between people from different fields such as design, science and art.
  • Conduct desktop research.

You will work together with the Programme Managers at Mediamatic, but we do expect a certain degree of independence and work ethic.

Profile

  • You can write and speak fluently in English.
  • You have good communication skills.
  • You can work independently and are a problem solver.
  • You are open-minded and curious.
  • You are good at conducting research.
  • You have (or are currently obtaining) a higher education degree.
  • You are available for at least the period of June till August, longer internships are possible for up to 100 working days.
