Next Nature Network (NNN) researches and visualizes how our technology becomes so omnipresent, complex, intimate and autonomous as to become its own nature. We stimulate discussion, initiate publications and create (travelling) expositions. Our network, maintained via our online magazine and social media, is a worldwide authority on this theme. It is our goal to interrogate our image of nature and to map out a path for the future that is satisfactory not only for humanity, but also for our planet as a whole.

Our headquarters is based in the iconic national monument Evoluon in Eindhoven. Our core team works in Eindhoven and Amsterdam – our network across the whole world. The team consists of an eclectic mix of creative people; from thinkers to makers to business people. Our projects reach a large and wide audience. About the job
Next Nature explores the nature of the future and the impact of technology on our lives and the planet at large. We strive for a happy marriage between biology and technology. We aim to be a global voice on the topic. To achieve this we are looking for a publishing talent to further develop our online magazine and publications. Someone who is content-driven, can manage a team of authors and holds the ability to develop unique content based on the next nature philosophy.

As the publishing manager you have an ear to the ground for emerging next nature topics and knows how to communicate this to our audience(s). You have excellent communication skills and are a congruent leader.


  • Managing the online magazine, monthly newsletter, annual print magazine, and print publications being developed in the network.
  • Organizing and maintaining a highly valued reader experience for our readers & members.
  • Position as the global voice on the merging of biology & technology.
  • Scouting and guiding (external) authors dedicated to the online magazine.
  • Giving a voice to the activities from our global network.
  • Connecting the publishing activities to our expo location Evoluon.
  • Making sure that activities from our network shared in the best possible way to reach our audience.
  • Managing the domain’s budget and is entrepreneurial targets.
  • Analyzing the content performance with bi-weekly reports.
  • Ensuring the publishing domain is well integrated within the Next Nature ecosystem.
  • Maintain a workflow with other Next Nature teams, like expo’s, academy, marketing, digital.
  • Recruit, inspire and manage your team.

About you / Competencies and experience

  • An affinity and understanding of the Next Nature philosophy.
  • An entrepreneurial and hands-on mentality.
  • Social, effective and constructive team-player.
  • Thorough knowledge of making engaging stories.
  • Excellent management skills to inspire people to deliver the best work they can.
  • A natural sense of seeing and developing opportunities.
  • Effective communicator both verbally and in writing.
  • Being able to see the big picture as well as being able to take operational decisions.
  • You are able to steer a team of editors and authors.
  • Based in Eindhoven or in the greater Eindhoven region.

What do we offer?

  • A salary within this range: € 4,176 – € 5,220 based on full time employment and depending on your experience.
