Office Manager/Operations Assistant

40 hours per week

You’re joining our Backbone team in a combined position, merging the roles of Office Manager and Operations Assistant, hereafter OA. As OA, you will fulfil a cross-discipline supporting role for the Backbone team. The work is based mainly in the Backbone office in Zaandam. We’re looking for someone who is experienced, accurate and has a proactive approach. This is a full-time position.

At the Backbone office, you will be key in ensuring smooth daily operations of our home base. This means that duties such as checking supplies, arranging lunches, organising crew trainings and welcoming office guests are part of your responsibilities. A proactive approach in these is a big plus! Last but not least, the OA is responsible for the financial settlements of the duties mentioned above.

Planning crew schedules, making hotel reservations, booking flights and arranging transportation will be a big chunk of your daily activities. The Backbone team often works on site and abroad for several days to build up/break down a project. For this part, it’s the OA’s job to make sure all visas and travel documents are in place, as well as crew catering and location access. Sometimes this requires some negotiation skills, so make sure this is an enjoyable challenge for you.
